| The National Nutrition Survey (NNS) is the primary source of nutrition statistics in the Philippines, conducted by FNRI to assess the Philippine food and nutrition situation for appropriate formulation and modification of food and nutrition policies and interventions as well as related development programs. NNS is carried out every five years, and provides substantive inputs for Updating the Nutritional Status of Filipino Children program which is conducted two or three years in-between NNS, together with Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) and Labor Force Survey (LFS) of the National Statistics Office (NSO) these suveys permit extensive analysis of the correlation of poor nutrition and the impact of policies on nutritional status and food nutrient intake, by researchers, policy analysts, and other users. |
